Wow! Very impressed🙌🏽 Short drive from the city for an amazing and free adventure! Please be careful tho. I’m a rock climber and found the roped climb sections (about 8 of them) still challenging. The reward of sitting in hot springs was incredible.

Amazing place to visit. Watch out for seasonal closures between End of March & Start of October. A 'Proper' hike with a fair amount of bouldering. The natural hot spring pools, augmented with sandbags, are just what you need before setting off back up the canyon.

The trail is very interactive and end result is beautiful!! Date Completed: 04.30.23 I got there around 8:30AM. Took about 3 hours to complete. Plan a little more time for your day so you can hang out by the water. There are 7-9 rope assisted obstacles/climbs with rock scrambles throughout entire hike. Gravel isn’t too deep when walking through. There are a few “jumps” you can easily complete. Just use your upper body to push up and hop down/climb up.

The Gold Strike Trail leading to the Hoover Dam Hot Springs offers an exhilarating hike through the stunning landscapes of the Mojave Desert. The trail presents a moderate-to-difficult challenge, with rocky terrain and occasional scrambling, rewarding hikers with breathtaking views and the chance to relax in the natural hot springs. The hike, about 6 miles round trip, guides adventurers along the Colorado River, showcasing striking canyon walls and unique geological formations. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the soothing Hot Springs, offering a rejuvenating soak amid the wilderness. Keep in mind, due to its rugged nature, the trail demands proper preparation: sturdy footwear, plenty of water, and caution during the climb down to the springs. The experience is incredibly rewarding for those seeking a mix of adventure, scenic beauty, and a relaxing dip in nature’s own spa

The bartender from Heart Attack Grill, Ricki, suggested this hike when I was in Vegas. This is not the easiest hike. Bring lots of water. I had a gallon of water with me and it got me to the bottom, but the way up wasn't the greatest. You walk through sand, and gravel then climbed boulders. The ropes aren't as bad as describe, but conserve your energy as much as you can. The few is great and hot springs are very enjoyable.

Loved it. Medium-hard hike, some ropes on the way, a couple of them are a little tricky. Not very pet friendly cause there are some points where you have to carry them to go up or down through the ropes. Many great views along the way and some hot springs where you can lay down and relax!!

Such a fun hike into Gold Strike with a variety of terrains including flat, boulders and eventually the hot spring pools and the Colorado River. It's rated as hard. The trails themselves are very accessible. It's just that some of the boulder climbs can be difficult even though there are ropes. Gorgeous terrain with sweeping rock faces. There's not much else like this adventure in the Vegas area.

We hiked this trail with our dog, but we had to turn back when we came to a dry waterfall and the ropes to help us negotiate it. Our dog doesn’t do ropes. The rest of the scrambling to that point was ok tho. We we Wemmer about 2 miles in to the 3 mile hike. Most of the hiking is in soft gravel at the canyon going downhill. I usually like my hikes to go downhill at the end instead of uphill tho. Periods of mildish bouldering interrupt the flow. Not much to see except canyon in the first 2 miles. Don’t know what follows.
